Being always interested in experimenting with alternative actions into physical, social or urban environments, we chose to implement one of the proposals of the project Light and Shadow for the recording of the phenomena that would cause to the micro-environment (nature, users). At the camping site of Polis-Chrysochous, in a grove of eucalyptus trees by the sea, we built, among tree trunks and with the help of young scouts, a climbing mesh of ropes (length: 15m, height: 4m) which leads to elevated hammocks.
A five-minute film by Charalambos Charalambous introducing the construction, the use and the spatial integration of the installation in the camping site, along with a presentation of all the aspects of the Light and Shadow Project, were presented in the Cyprus Exhibit at the 11th International Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia (2008).
